Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how AIOptiScan ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our services.
Data Controller
AIOptiScan operates as the data controller for personal data collected through this website and related services.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of data:
- Account information (name, email address)
- Billing information (billing name, address, country, VAT number)
- Subscription and payment information
- Website URLs submitted for analysis
- Usage and technical data (log files, IP address, browser type)
When you run audits, we process publicly accessible website content provided by you.
Public Beta Audits
During the public beta, visitors may submit public website URLs for analysis without creating an account. We retrieve and analyze publicly available content from the submitted URL and store the generated audit report under a secure public report token.
For abuse prevention, rate limiting, and product improvement, we may store pseudonymized technical usage data such as hashed IP address, hashed user agent, audit timestamps, completion counts, and controlled failure information. Hashed IP addresses are pseudonymous security data, not anonymous data.
Public beta feedback is optional and may include ratings, free-text comments, pricing preferences, use case information, and an optional contact email. Providing a feedback contact email does not automatically subscribe you to marketing messages.
The paid-release waitlist is separate from feedback and requires explicit consent. Waitlist consent records are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Public beta audit reports may be retained for a limited beta period, while product feedback may be retained for product research and improvement.
Legal Basis for Processing (EEA Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract (account creation, subscription management)
- Compliance with legal obligations (invoicing, tax laws)
- Legitimate interests (service improvement, fraud prevention)
- Consent (marketing communications, where applicable)
Payments & Invoicing
Payments are processed securely via third-party payment providers. We do not store full credit card details.
Invoices are generated in compliance with applicable tax regulations. Billing data is retained as required by accounting and tax laws.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted service providers strictly for operating the service, including:
- Payment processors
- Hosting providers
- Analytics services
- Email delivery providers
International Transfers
Your data may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. Billing and invoicing records may be retained for the period required by tax regulations.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion (where legally permissible)
- Object to certain processing activities
- Request data portability
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
